This 5 piece set of Biedermeier furniture has a story, many many years ago when I first started collecting, we had no internet, I went to antique shops and answered ads in antique publications. I started corresponding with an older man selling his late wife’s dollhouse furniture. I bought this living room set sight unseen, when it arrived there was a sweet note from the man telling me he freshened the furniture up with a coat of paint. I was disappointed, but never told him and we kept in touch for several years.
This is still a beautiful set, he did a great job painting, not one bit of paint on the fabric. The upholstery is a muted floral pattern with an olive green background, very well made and no damage or repairs.
The sofa is 6 3/4” wide at the widest point, 2 3/8” deep and 3 1/2” tall at the center back. The chairs are 2” wide at the front, 1 3/4” deep, 3 1/4” tall at the back. Gold paper trim around the edges of the upholstery.
